Kanye West - Runaway (Full-length Film)

Kanye West's film about his relationship with a Phoenix girl who has fallen from the sky is certainly different, shall we say. Personally, I love it. But whilst some of the visuals are undoubtedly incredible, I believe the real masterpiece of this film is the music. The songs should all be set to appear on his new album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. From the snippets of the songs that are played over the film, I reckon this album will be huge.

Yes, Kanye has a ego that, makes Bono look reserved; however, it is impossible to deny that the man has an incredible ability to produce tracks of the highest calibre. He is also a very talented artist. His new album would appear to ditch the auto-tune effects that were unfairly criticised on his excellent fourth album, 808's And Heartbreak. Just as his fourth album was a piece of art that demonstrated his experimental style as a producer, the film and new album appear to see West go in yet another new direction.

This album is going to be big, and it will be different. The Phoenix in the film says something along the lines of: 'Your world destroys anything that is different'. This is obviously a reaction to the negativity that West receives, most of it warranted. Yet his music is his one redeeming quality. This album will show that whilst people can't accept Kanye as a person, music can accept his art as something innovative.
